  • Change of Enrolment Application Form

  • Before you begin

    • Please read the Student Progression, Candidature, Leave of Absence and Exclusion Policy.
    • A leave of absence was previously referred to as a "deferral".
    • If you are considering a leave of absence or withdrawal, we encourage you to discuss your options with a member of MIECAT staff before submitting your request.
    • We’ll send all outcomes to your MIECAT email address.
  • Format: (000) 000-0000.

  • Transfer Intake

  • First year students enrolled in the Masters in Therapeutic Arts Practice who commence at the beginning of the academic year may request a transfer into the first year subjects offered in the mid-year intake of the same calendar year, where they are unable to continue in their initial enrolment.

Approval is at MIECAT’s discretion and subject to class availability.

This transfer option is only available within the first year of the Masters course and within the same academic year. It does not constitute a leave of absence and does not count towards a student’s leave of absence entitlement.

Important: The mid-year intake follows a different study mode to the annual intake. The first four subjects are delivered in full-time study mode, after which students return to part-time study mode from Unit 5 onwards. Students undertaking this pathway complete the Masters course in two and a half years rather than three years. Applicants should review the published timetable and unit dates before submitting a transfer request.

    • If you take LOA after the census date, fees will still apply for that subject, including any applicable FEE-HELP debt or loss of upfront payment.
    • If your LOA is approved, we’ll contact you via your personal email approximately 8 weeks before your return subject begins.
    • Please keep your contact details up to date. If we can’t reach you at least 4 weeks before your return, you may be withdrawn from the course.
    • When you return, you’ll be subject to the course fees in place at that time.

    • You can apply for LOA for up to 12 months.
    • If your LOA extends beyond 12 months, you may be required to reapply for admission.
